Project Reel: Los Angeles selected five new filmmakers who chose problems that were near and dear to their hearts and made short films to present solutions to those problems.
These participants learned how to make short films as Guest Industry Mentors visited and volunteered their time to teach them about how to make a powerful and effective short film.
They also had advisers as well who were committed to giving them the tools to find their voice and to use film making as a medium for upliftingand inspiring our world. While each participant got a chance to direct their own short film, the final project was a music video that they created for apl.de.ap (of The Black Eyed Peas) and his song
"U Can Dream."
